What types of behaviors will interventions
work for?
Essentially, any continual behavior that is causing
harm to self or others may be grounds for an intervention.
Most commonly interventions are performed in relation
to drug and alcohol problems, but they can also be used
to help treat eating disorders, gambling problems and
other types of addictive behavior. Interventions work
for these types of behaviors because chances are if
there is a problem, the individual has heard words of
concern many times before. An intervention is a way
to bring
outside help in.
